Operational Excellence Lead

The Operational Excellence Sr. Professional will support the department head and the Operational Excellence Leader in implementing and sustaining OPEX at the department. The Operational Excellence Sr. professional will lead the department OPEX activities including data collection and analysis, prioritizing projects and creating the implementation plans. The Sr. Opex Professional will assist in documentation of processes, participate with team activities and meetings, and communicate findings.  It is expected that the Operational Excellence Sr. professional will learn the key aspects and methodologies of the Teva Production System and other process improvement techniques needed to understand and assist in driving to achieve a step change in the performance of the site in terms of quality, service and cost competitiveness while engaging and empowering the site employees

This position will interact with employees at every level of the plant and will be part of the global OPEX community


  • Implement the Teva Production System standards
  • Participating in training, coaching and capabilities building at site (for line management and change agents)
  • Develop the department projects roadmap based on the sustainability assessment recommendations
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for system and process improvements
  • Help the department head with the setting of ambitious targets
  • Demonstrate the appropriate use of Lean techniques during OPEX projects
  • Knowledge sharing of best practices
  • Ensuring local project follow up, regular feedback to site OPEX lead, rising the flags, proposing the project plan changes
  • Guide and assist the change agents with projects and help them achieve their goals
  • Assist with measurement of performance and development progress
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required by business needs



  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Lean production environment, preferably in TEVA Manufacturing or another pharmaceutical company.
  • Experience in one of several operational functions (e.g. Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, Supply Chain is an advantage).
  • Project management experience and excellent time management skills.
  • Lean background is an advantage.
  • Relevant university degree (technical, pharmaceutical, chemical, Industrial engineer)
  • Fluent in local site language and conversational Level in English
  • Excellent knowledge in MS Office
  • Detail oriented, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong collaboration skills are required to coordinate activities
  • Demonstrated effective communication and organizational (change management) skills
  • Evidence of ability to teach, guide and mentor others and demonstrates leadership
