Reporting to the Supervisor – Packaging, you will support Hood Road operations by ensuring materials are available.
Your responsibilities will include picking and staging raw material orders that are required for production and for other locations. You will also be responsible for stocking and re-stocking released raw materials from manufacturing and quarantine areas.
You will confirm raw material receipts to the warehouse and complete all warehouse transactions using the Oracle System.
As part of this role, you will be licensed to operate a forklift or other material handling equipment and you will be responsible for maintaining the forklift batteries, completing safety inspections and completing required documentation for operating the equipment. You will also be responsible for cleaning other related handling equipment as needed.
You will play a primary role in maintaining the cleanliness of the area and surrounding areas by ensuring waste is removed and properly disposed. This will include operating compactors and keeping the garbage room clean.
Finally, you will be a key member of the warehouse team and will partner with various groups to find efficiencies related to operations and practices including participating in process improvement projects, ensuring the quality of the finished product and performing other related duties as assigned.
