The Supervisor, Maintenance reports to the Manager, Site Engineering at the Hood Road location. This position oversees a team of employees who maintain all equipment and systems for production and packaging operations. In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring all maintenance activities are carried out in a timely manner and comply with internal, regulatory and compliance requirements.


On a daily basis, you will facilitate the timely completion of preventative maintenance and repairs for the facility equipment through delegation of work and “hands-on” involvement. You will receive maintenance requisitions and monitor the work order system to ensure timely completion of work orders and accuracy of information.


You will participate in various meetings and investigations in such areas as EH&S, QA which involve the maintenance group. As well, you will coordinate outside contractors to complete specialized projects within specified timelines (eg packaging, production, or facility equipment).

In addition, you will perform annual performance evaluations, monitor attendance and address disciplinary and performance issues as well as complete timekeeping and authorize overtime and ensure staff are trained and adhere to EH&S procedures, GMP and SOP regulations as well as all appropriate legislation (OH&S Act, WHMIS, etc) and equipment manuals.


Finally, you will provide input to the annual budget process and help control expenses through the review and approval of purchase requisitions for the department and assist regulatory bodies during site inspections and ensure compliance through the implementation of corrective measures


  • Minimum Qualifications: BS / BA degree required and a minimum 7 years of related work experience.
  • University degree required. Business, Science or Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 year Supply Chain Planning experience with a demonstrated knowledge of Supply Chain concepts and "Best Practices”
