The Senior Director of Market access is an active member of the management team of Teva Canada Innovation. As a key leader of the organization, the individual will contribute to maintaining a culture of teamwork collaboration and transparency. Together with the management team, the individual will foster a culture that embraces the values of the organization and ensure the team operates as per Teva’s compliance guidelines.


As a member of the Canadian Management Team, the Head of Market Access you will:

  • Develop and support market access strategies that meet the organization’s goals.
  • Have an in-depth understanding of the pricing and reimbursement landscape and integrates this knowledge effectively in the development of business plans.
  • Have a solid scientific background and the ability to assess clinical requirements and/or identify gaps of files and products in development. Is able to translate gaps into actionable requirements to adapt business action plan.
  • Leads and optimizes interactions with the Global Team and facilitate the integration of the Canadian requirements in Global development plans.
  • Represents Teva Canada Innovation in external organizations, trade associations and within Teva Global for matters related to access and reimbursement, Health care reforms or policies.
  • Leads the market access team to execute on their plans and support the development of innovative approaches.
  • Effectively assesse project progression and workload, is able to provide clear direction and resourcing needs.
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders and policy makers, integrate insights into strategy and opportunities.
  • Deep Knowledge of the Pharma industry, market trends, market dynamics and competitive intelligence.

Competencies Required:

  • Experience required: A minimum of 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a minimum of 5-7 years in Market Access. A minimum of 3 years of team management experience.
  • Experience Preferred: The above in addition to cross-functional team experience in Marketing or Medical, Multiple Therapeutic Area experience.
  • Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline (Science, Business)
  • Education Preferred: Graduate level (Master or higher) in Health economics, economics or Business Administration.
  • Strong business acumen, with ability to navigate financials and provide assessments.
  • Strong communication skill and high level of comfort in presentations.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills with external and internal customers.
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization, with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results.
  • Bilingualism, spoken and written.
